With family-focused activities in Gyro Park (just down the street from us) running all day, including bands, entertainment, vendors and lot’s of special Canada Day celebrations, kids will love it! The day concludes with a great fireworks display on Okanagan Beach.

Traditionally May is seen as the kick-off for summer in Penticton and this year it’s starting with a bang!
The Spring Okanagan Wine Festival brings thousand of wine fans to the valley to taste, explore and discover. Held over ten days at the beginning of May each year, festival goers can choose from over 100 special events. During the festival a great many new wines are introduced and awards presented. Each winery has its own way of taking part in the festivities and touring and tasting is a big item on everyone’s list. And I don`t know how the organizers do it, but the festival seems to bring with it warm days and clear Okanagan skies. This year`s festival kicks off May 3. This year May 4 to 6 will see the inaugural BC Interior RV Show. This mammoth event takes full advantage of the huge indoor and outdoor exhibit capacities of Penticton’s amazing complex, combining not only the South Okanagan Events Centre, Memorial Arena, the Trade and Convention Centre, spacious parking facilities and grounds. May long weekend has long been a highly popular time for people to come to Penticton (So, a word to the wise: Book your accommodations early!) with softball tournaments, the popular Meadowlark Festival and more. This year it is also the 100th anniversary of Pen High, with lots of events scheduled and on Sunday May 20, George Thoroughgood and the Destroyers perform at the SOEC.
